Name: The Kingdom of Belgium

Human Name: Emma ( Yes, I went with a name that is different from what most call her. This name is rather popular in Belgium, so that's what I went with. But you can feel free to call her Belle or Bella at your own will; I have no objections. )

Age: ...Given what every bit of research has said, she's thousands of years old. ._. If you're counting physical age, Emma could be around 20-23, since The Kingdom of Belgium is relatively young.

Height: 5'4''

Weight: 115 lbs.

DOB: July 21 1831, when Belgium first became a monarchy and her own country.

~Personality~
Emma, or if you want to call her "Bella" you can, is a very friendly, mature girl. She can be a little scary when she's angry, though this is very rare. She is the sister of Luxembourg and Netherlands, but it is said that they sometimes push her around.
She enjoys gourmet food and is known for her waffles. Due to this, she can find foreign waffles unpleasant.
Emma gets along well with Spain, France, Romano, Austria, Hungary and has ties with most of Europe and parts of Asia.

~Appearance~
Belgium is a tall woman who has short, slightly curly, pretty blonde hair, held back with a ribbon. This ribbon can be green, red, or sometimes even black. She does sometimes wear a military uniform with gloves and high-heeled boots. Most of the time, she is seen wearing a traditional European dress of many different colors and designs.

Major Relations:

Netherlands
Belgium and Netherlands have a fairly good relationship, after quite a bit of rugged sections in their life. When Netherlands wanted to leave Spain behind--during the time of the Spanish Netherlands--she decided to remain with Spain, and it lead to Netherlands going to war with Belgium and Spain. After the war, Belgium and Netherlands were rather distant, but they've began keeping in contact and growing closer sometime in 1898, near the beginning of the 19th century. Ever since, even when they bicker, they have a stable, positive relationship.

France
Needless to say, France and Belgium have a very good relationship, even if it didn't start at as good. France has had a great influence on Belgium, teaching her the language and some of his cuisine, which then inspired the "Belgian Waffle", said to have originated in France and became very popular in Belgium. It's safe to say that, even with their good relationship today, Belgium still has some mixed feelings with France--more so on the destruction of her capital, Brussels, during the French Revolution.

Spain
Spain and Belgium are close friends nowadays. He's had heavy influence in her history, but in the early days it was more or less forced on her people, as well as culture. Belgium did keep some of the herritage, but around the time France took over, Spanish culture had became more or less abandoned. She does still speak some of the language, though not without trouble and tends to sound a bit rusty or accented. However, after Germany invaded Belgium during WW2, she and Spain had become close again--not that he was ever truly forgotten. As I stated before, in the present, she and Spain are very good friends, much to the dismay of Netherlands.

Austria
Austria was also a good influencer on Belgium, and while he wasn't as forceful as Spain was with learning culture, Austria was appreciated by Belgium by bringing in some of the art and music influence. Belgium does think that Austria is a bit snobby, but in a playful way. Even after France ended Austria's rule in Belgium, some of the architecture still remains.

Even with all of the good relations with her most influencial countries, Belgium was the site of many European battles, and has more than her share of scars, most of which have left overtime. Some of these incidents--or rather, the most commonly brought up, were the Franco-Austrian and Franco-Spanish wars.

Luxembourg
Luxembourg is Belgium's older brother, though she is known to be pushed around sometimes. Over half of Luxembourg's territory was transferred to Belgium during the Belgian Revolution, though he isn't has upset about it as he was before, Belgium knows that her brother has begrudgen her about it.

N. Italy and S. Italy
Belgium has spent some time with the two Italians during their childhood, and has a little bit of influence on the two of them. She participated in the Cat Festival with N. Italy, and Romano was known to have a small crush on her as a child. It is not known if he still feels that way--and he probably doesn't. Either way, they are on good terms, but don't really see each other often.

Germany
Needless to say, after violating her neutrality during WW2 in order to get to France, Belgium has bitter feelings towards Germany, and is still trying to recouperate after the sudden invasion. She tries to be polite to him, but can't help but feel wary.

America
America and Belgium have a healthy relationship with each other, first developed after he helped her pull everything together--like her economy--after the events of WW2.

Great Britian
England was one of the first to recognize Belgium's independence from the United Kingdom of Netherlands and helped establish her neutrality. They've had trading history that goes back as far as the 10th century, and England allied with the nobles of Flanders agaisnt France in the 100 Year's War.
